I am currently majoring in linguistics and language applications. 

 

What is unique about my major?

If you google linguistics, it will tell you that the scientific study of languages. In fact, It is not solely related to languages but involves multiple disciplines such as psychology, social science, and logical theories. I even have to study computer programming.

What did you learn during your studies?

 

Language: Grammar, International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)

Computer programming: I learned how to build up a website with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am also learning Java to deal with language data.
